In class today the students explored many different mystery liquids. They were tasked with determining if each liquid was an acid, a base, or a neutral. To do this the students had to use litmus paper and dip it into each substance. If blue litmus paper turned red, they found and acid. If red litmus paper turned blue, they found a base. If there was no color change, they found a neutral. To finish the lab, the students had to draw and label a pH scale. |
