For the last week the students have been creating balloon cars in class. By using their knowledge of Newton's Laws of motion, friction, air resistance, and momentum; they needed to create a car that would move at least 9 meters and was powered only by the air exiting a balloon. Through a lot of trial and error, every student in the class got their car to move. At the end of our exploration, we had a race in the gym. The young-5s and preschool came to the race and really enjoyed cheering the class on!
Today in class we tried out some green screen technology. This was just a trial run, so there are definitely some things we need to fix the next time we do this in class. Mrs. List is really excited about incorporating this into her social studies lessons. Just think how cool it would be for the students to create videos or news broadcasts and report on important moments in history!!! I hope you enjoy this fun video.
