The 5th-8th grade STEM class kicked off the new year with a "simple" paper tower challenge. Using only paper and tape, the groups needed to build the tallest tower possible that would hold up a hymnal without falling. Many techniques were implemented and the class learned how important teamwork will be in completing challenges successfully this year.

Welcome back to an exciting new school year! I am looking forward to all of the fun we will have and I hope that you are too. This year we will be starting a new science curriculum in the 5-8th grades. It is a workbook style curriculum and I have a lot of fun labs and activities planned to go with it. We will still be having our STEM class once a week which will be a new adventure for our incoming 5th graders. We also have several new students this year. Welcome Shilah, Wyatt, Ezra, and Levi! Our school theme this year is Real Present God. I am looking forward to seeing all of you on orientation night which is Monday, August 20 at 6:00. Have a great last few days of summer!
